Art Programs & Schools
"We've done it! Helping Hands has just finished teaching 300 students at
the Suislaw Elementary School! The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade children
painted 2 oil paintings each to take home for the Summer. Our thanks to
the Western Lane Community Foundation for the grant that made this goal
possible. We would also like to thank local merchants and citizens
including W.G. Peterson Woodworking, Ron's Paints, Fred Meyer and those
who volunteered time and help to assist Helping Hands in this project.
Helping Hands looks forward to doing this again next year. Our hope is to continue with the students for futher oil painting education as well as welcoming new students coming into the 3rd grade.
Once again, thanks to everyone who helped make this all possible." ~ Weldon Oliver, Art Director.
More school oil painting programs are coming up at Stellar Academy in California and the Siuslaw School District.
