Weldon Oliver teaches his classes to oil painters at Applegate Gallery in Veneta, OR. Students learn to structure their own work under instruction. The classroom at the Applegate Gallery is a large open space giving students plenty of room to spread out table easels and supplies.

Saturday sessions run from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a lunch break. Each student paints their own version of the subject demonstrated by Weldon Oliver. Help is given by the instructor when asked for or needed.

 

 

Here, each student has a view of the instructor's demonstration easel. They can watch as he demonstrates each step of the painting process.

 

Veneta students are focused on their painting projects nearing completion.

Each person takes home a completed painting.
